How It Works

From first call to the reveal

A clear, gentle process, so you and your family always know what’s next. From the first visit to move-in day usually takes four to eight weeks, at whatever pace feels right.

Starting with compassion

This move is hard, and that’s okay

Leaving a home after many years is one of the biggest changes a person can make. It is hard for the person moving, and it is hard for the family helping them. There can be grief and relief in the same afternoon.

So I go gently. I listen before I suggest, I make sure the person moving has a say in every choice, from what comes along to where their favorite chair goes, and I keep families informed so no one feels left out or overwhelmed. Here is how it usually unfolds.

  1. 1

    Consultation call

A relaxed 30-minute call by phone or video. I listen to your situation, your timeline and what matters most to the person moving.

    Free
  2. 2

    Home visit

I visit the current home to meet everyone, see what’s coming along, take measurements, and get to know your story and style.

    $150/hr, credited toward your project
  3. 3

    Proposal

A written proposal with my package recommendation, scope, and one flat fee. Nothing begins until you’re comfortable.

  4. 4

    New space survey

I visit your new community space before move-in: measuring, photographing, and planning the layout.

  5. 5

    Design & prep

I create your floor plan, source any needed pieces, and coordinate with your movers on logistics.

  6. 6

    Installation day

On move-in day, I set up the entire space: furniture, art, styling, kitchen and bathroom, every finishing touch.

  7. 7

    The reveal

You see your new room for the first time, fully set up. This is the emotional heart of everything I do.

  8. 8

    Follow-up

A 30-day check-in to refine anything that isn’t working once you’ve lived in the space.
