Creating spaces for seniors that feel like home

Moving into a senior community shouldn’t mean leaving yourself behind. I transform your new space, using the things you love, so it feels like yours from the very first day.

A senior living suite. Before: a bare, chilly room with only a dresser. After: the same room in warm afternoon light, with an armchair and knitted throw, a patterned rug, a lamp and teacup, a gallery wall of family photos, books, a plant, curtains, three ceramic pigs on the sunny windowsill and a stack of books with reading glasses on the rug.
The same belongings, arranged with care. A room that already feels like home.

Roslyn’s three ceramic pigs. Rose’s Room is named for her.

Why Rose’s Room exists

Named after a real person. Built from a real experience.

When my grandmother, Roslyn, moved into a senior community, so little of her long, full life made it into her room. A few pieces of furniture that didn’t fit right, and three small ceramic pigs on the windowsill.

That image, a life reduced to a few remnants, became the reason for this business.

What I do

Three ways I help

Every service is built for one moment: moving from a family home into a retirement or assisted living community. Each project has one flat fee, agreed together before we begin.

Downsizing, room by room

The Edit

A compassionate, room-by-room process to decide what to bring, what to let go, and what to pass on, honoring the stories behind your things.

From the decision to move through move-in day and beyond: The Edit, The Arrival, move coordination, and a 30-day follow-up visit.

For families

When you’re the one helping someone you love move

Often it’s a daughter, a son, a niece or a grandchild who reaches out first. You’re balancing your own life, worrying about getting it right, and carrying your own feelings about a home full of memories. That is a lot to hold.

And for the person moving, it can be one of the hardest changes of a lifetime. Leaving a home means leaving routines, neighbors and decades of everyday moments. Both of those things are true at once, and I make room for both.

  • The person moving comes first

Their voice, their favorite things and their way of living guide every decision.

  • Room for everyone’s feelings

Grief, relief, worry, even disagreement. All of it is normal, and none of it needs to be rushed.

  • One calm person beside you

I keep track of the details so you can spend this time with your family instead of a to-do list.

  • You don’t need the answers yet

Just tell me about the person and the move. We’ll find the way forward together.

“The client sees their new room for the first time, fully set up. That moment, the reveal, is the heart of everything I do.”
